REGULATIONS
1) The DirActor’s Cut Film Festival will take place from October 10th to 14h 2007.
2) The festival celebrates actors becoming directors and actors starting a new career behind a camera. The Festival will present a panorama of international feature-film premieres directed by actors-directors, cartes blanches in their presence to contemporary actors-directors, cine-concerts, a programme tailor-made for schools, meetings with artists,
The Festival welcomes fictions in all broadcasting material.
3) Each director or producer must register by any means (vhs, dvd or print). The deadline for registration is September 14th 2007.
The postage of VHS will be at the expense of the participants and should contain the Festival’s registration form, completed and signed, technical data of the film as well as a CV of his (her) director. Selection will start on July 1st 2007, in screenings rooms or by DVD in the DirActor’s Cut Film Festival office: 161, rue Saint Honoré, 75001 Paris, France – Tel: +33(1) 58 62 56 00 / Fax: +33(1) 58 62 56 10
4) Each director or producer having proposed a film for selection will be informed by mail about decisions of the selection committee from September 20th 2007. When receiving confirmation of their selection they will complete a detailed entry form and send a synopsis and three photos of the film for inclusion in the official catalogue as well as in the press.
5) Prints:
All prints of selected films must be made available to the carrier of the Festival at the latest on October, 1st 2007.
6) ALL SECTIONS:
Participation in the Film Festival of the DirActor’s Cut Film Festival, implies the presentation of films extracts on regional or foreign televisions channels.
7) Departure and return (from October 15th, 2007) of prints will be from the DirActor’s Cut Film Festival office or as agreed with the official carrier of the Festival: Franck George, D’un point à l’autre. Every box and every copy should be clearly labelled with the director & producer's name, the frame and the duration. Only copies in perfect state of screening will be accepted. During the entire length of the Festival, no film can be removed from the selection.
8) The DirActor’s Cut Film Festival takes care of insurance expenses between the receipt and the return of films at the Festival’s offices. In case of loss or deterioration of a copy during this period, the responsibility of the organisers is engaged only for the replacement value of this copy.
9) The DirActor’s Cut Film Festival will invite the selected films' directors or producers (days to confirm). The Festival will cover for their accommodation, breakfast and dinner.
10) The Board of directors of the DirActor’s Cut Film Festival is responsible for settling cases not foreseen in the above regulations and to grant possible infringements to capacities above on the express and motivated request from participants.
11) Participation in the DirActor’s Cut Film Festival implies agreement to the present regulations. These apply to the first edition of the DirActor’s Cut Film Festival, which will take place from October 10th until October14th 2007.
